Shiatsu has its roots in Japan where it has been used for centuries. A cross between massage and physical manipulation, Shiatsu works with physical, emotional and spiritual energy. It uses the same theoretical framework as acupuncture but without the needles! Instead the Shiatsu practitioner uses finger or hand pressure along meridian lines and acupuncture points to promote energetic balance.
Working with clients to access the root causes for physical aches and pains, including bad backs, necks and shoulders, I find that many also learn that other aspects of their lives can be positively affected through their Shiatsu work with me.
